Rates - Fees - Booking
Regarding booking – scheduling there are FAR TOO MANY variables to let clients/customers just pick a date on a booking calendar! You will have to contact me by telephone so we can discuss your potential schedule. With shrimping at night ( that is when we go ) we have to plan around what works for you, but tide MORE importantly! This gets kind of complicated and to let customers just pick a day would be a HUGE MISTAKE! When I speak to you I will/would explain and you will understand very quickly the things that must be considered! Example: You just pick a day that worked for you but the night tide on that day is WRONG you/we would be wasting our time and I would not take you for that reason.
Regular daytime inshore/offshore fishing, guides and customers generally just need to consider wind-weather. Of course we need to consider that as well, but our sport is dictated entirely by high tide. We go out on the high tide and shrimp the outgoing-drop! So the simple is, if we go out on a night when the tide is wrong – IT WOULD BE WRONG TO GO!
Fees: I charge $400.00 for four ( 4 ) hours. If shrimping gets good later in the night and all interested parties are okay with staying/shrimping a bit longer, I am fine with that. If we catch our limit of five gallons in two hours we head for port/ramp unless you would just like to stargaze for two hours – I’m okay with that as well…
If you have to cancel a scheduled trip for whatever reason and do so within five ( 5 ) days of your schedule charter you will be given a 75% refund ( $300.00 ). If it is within three ( 3 ) days a 50% refund ( $200.00 ) - closer to that then scheduled charter date no refunds. Example: You/we have a charter date of March 6th – you need to contact me March 1st!!! If I have to cancel a charter for something like weather we will just re-schedule a date that works for all parties. I would of course contact any of my customers ASAP in the event that I would have to cancel a charter date.
I will take up to three people. This includes three adults or one adult and two children or two adults one child that are at least ten ( 10 ) years old. This age limit is not to discriminate against any child – it is strictly for SAFETY REASONS!!!
I can also be chartered for private outings. It you want to see some waterfront real estate - taken to a waterfront restaurant - go for a boatride, or learn a thing or two about boating and electronic navigation, I can be hired for that as well. When you express your wishes, desires and plans I could tell you the cost for that outing...
I also offer a TAG-A-LONG option to a single ( 1 ) adult that has an interest about shrimping. You can call me and I can inform you of my schedule. If I am going shrimping and do not have another charter for the date ( s ) that you may be available, you can come with me for the LOWERED price of $150.00. We will split the catch of shrimp - You take half home - I take half.
Like any fishing the captain can only control the boat and not the fish or shrimp! I would ALWAYS make my best effort to put us on the "meat" but some nights they just decide to be lazy perhaps and don't swim down the river in any numbers. If we catch less than one quart I will take you again on an agreed night at half price for your second charter.
