About Me Florida Shrimp Fishing Guide

I am from New Jersey but have been coming down to Florida for over forty-four years. I am a manufacturer and exhibitor at an international trade show on the west coast of Florida. When done with my show it is back to the east coast of Florida in New Smyrna Beach. I have made my share of money in that business world but I am MOST comfortable on the water instead of an office!!!

I started fresh water fishing when I was around nine and moved over to the salt water scene once I got my drivers license. I started throwing a cast net when I was nine and still do! I cast net tens of thousands of pounds of bunker-menhaden-pogies for tackle shops in my state from June to November. I have my commercial license in multiple states and of course Florida is one of them. I am a fairly accomplished fisherman doing both recreational and commercial fishng. I have five center console boats and fish from Maine to Florida and everything in between!

Are there other fishermen who have more experience? I am sure! Am I a “weekend warrior” – far from it. I have I would guess around 250,000 miles or more on the water boating-fishing.

I have needed to be on the water and out of the office for mental therapy! I joke and have said many times - “ I have never had a bunker ask me a stupid question or smoke a cigarette in my face yet ”.
